Addiction is a very complex illness that alters the brain through the misuse of drugs or alcohol. At Calm Meadows we offer a Holistic approach for treatment of substance abuse treating more than just addiction. We believe the abuse and misuse of substances effects more than the mind, addiction affects the body and spirit as well. Calm Meadows offers Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment programs along with counseling and therapy that are uniquely designed for each person.

An in-depth personal assessment is done to rule out any mental health issues the client may have, many times our clients have mental health problems like bipolar disorder or depression as well as substance abuse problems. Dual Diagnosis is when there are substance use problems along with mental disorders like bipolar. It's important to make a clear diagnosis before treatment begins because both mental illness problems and substance abuse have to be treated in order for a healthy recovery to be achieved.

Cleansing the body of toxic chemicals due to dependency during Detoxification is the first step towards sobriety. Understanding how the body needs healthy nourishment and the importance of maintaining a healthy body is part of our treatment program. Teaching our clients how to calm their minds and clear negative unhealthy thoughts is done through meditation and other programs offered through Calm Meadows. Having a healthy mind, body and spirit enables our clients to make better choices, improve their self-esteem and live life without the need of drugs or alcohol.
